Adult Trial Class

Cygnus Diving Club will be hosting a trial class for adults on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 from 7-8pm at Centennial Pool.

The trial class is for adults, 18 years of age or older, to experience a learn to dive class. The class will feature a dryland warm up, and pool time. Participants must be able to swim confidently and be comfortable in deep water.

If there is enough interest following the trial class, Cygnus will offer a 4-6 week adult learn to dive class this spring.

There is no cost for the trial class, but pre-registration is required, including a registration form and waiver for all participants. Please email info@cygnusdiving.ca with any questions.

Please complete the following information to register for the adult trial class with Cygnus Diving Club, on Sunday, April 28, 2019, from 7-8pm. The trial class will include a dryland component, which could include stretching, running, and jumping. The pool portion of the class will include jumping from the side of the pool and from 1m and 3m springboards, as well as instruction in front entries from the side of the pool and springboards. Participants should be aware that as with any physical activity, there is a risk of injury, such as slips and falls, and by completing this waiver that you accept this risk in order to participate. Photo Consent and Media Release Form

I hereby grant consent to Cygnus Diving Club and the Nova Scotia Amateur Diving Association (NSADA) to reproduce and/or use photos taken or obtained of the participant for use in the promotion of Cygnus Diving Club and NSADA.

 
I understand and agree that any and all photographs, recordings, films or reproductions may be used to promote the participants, athletes, Cygnus Diving Club and NSADA.


I herby release Cygnus Diving Club and its officers, directors, agents and employees from any and all liability arising from the rights granted hereby and from the use of my name and likeness as herein authorized.

Try-It Night

Please complete the following information to register for Try It Night, hosted by Cygnus Diving Club. Try It Night will be at Centennial Pool on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, from 6:30-7:30. Once a form has been completed, you will receive an email with confirmation of registration for your child, and further details. Try It Night is an opportunity for children to experience a learn to dive class with Cygnus Diving Club. Try It Night may include use of the dryland training area, springboards, platform, trampoline, and pool. Physical activity such as tumbling on tumbling mats, and jumping from springboards/platforms or from the side of the pool will be performed. Parents/guardians must be aware of the risks involved in such activities and indicate by completing the registration form that their son/daughter is able to participate in these activities. With these activities are risks such as slips and falls. Children not following the instructions set forth by the instructors and coaches will be asked to leave Try It Night if they are putting themselves or other participants at risk for injury.
